Hi everybody,
As you may know, the French translation team keeps going, doing its best to translate Maliki's strips. As soon as a translation will be finished, I will create a topic on this section with the translation the team made so that you can discuss it and purpose some corrections. You will be the strips validators ! (sometime if we have doubt about a translation, we will show it to you by coloring the sentence in red) With your validation, we will give back the translation to Maliki so that she can publish it on the English website !
If you have any questions about how it works, we will answer them here.

As no one answered, I didn't use this section as expected. I went to some forum that purpose help on translation and I now usually post there when there's a need of validation. I don't remember any mistakes but translating the older strips might be fun. Maybe I'll stumble upon a better sounding translation or something somewhere!

Ok, I'm not sure what kind of set up I should have to post my work but I'll experiment with the very first strip just because its short.
(Me typing everything down from original): Je vois pas à quoi ça va m'avancer de faire un webcomic... A moins que je raconte des choses vraiment intéressantes!!
(Raw translation number one): I do not see what's going to lend me a webcomic... Unless I told some really interesting things!!

Please, don't try with translating programs. What interesting us is opinion about some already translated sentences.
I can see that you are motivated and that you are willing to do well. Then I'll give you all the clues.
We are doing the translation of 4 strips (one of them should be validated tomorrow so I give you the whole translation and I will give you the last one later). For information we use [] to represent squares of the strips and "..." to separate different speech bubbles.
Here's the issue we have with them (I make comments in another color and in brackets so that you can give me your opinion on some sentences and you're the first to read our translations as well , if you see sentences colored, it means that we are not sure about our translation on these ones yet, so please feel free to give your opinion ) :

Sorry about that. I was just doing it to compare a rough translation with the given translation to see if anything stuck out or if something that sounded better came to mind.
Am I really the first to read the translations? AWESOME! *squee*
Also, I think I'll use a dark blue for my thoughts if that's ok.

We are something like 3 regular members for the translation team. It's a lot of work. We're just translating the last strips in priority and then we translated those we like the most. That's why there's not that much strips translated. And there's some strips for which we already have a translation beginning (from the first translation team we had) but we haven't finished them yet. And yeah there's some strips Maliki didn't want us to translate (a few of them) so they're maybe not in the list, and there's also some of the illustrations that don't have text and I don't think I added them in the list.

In fact, I was in the first translation team too. At that time, we had just one topic to make our translations so it was a little messy. A lot of people came and joined for short periods and left, and came back again and so on. This was really difficult to manage cause there was a lot of translations underway and newcomers sometimes prefered to just purpose a translation for a strip they like and after that they didn't come back anymore. Besides that, we didn't have just to translate, we had to clean the strips and add the words so there were cleaners, translators, scribers and so on. Then, there was a crash. All the data of the Creative lab in the French section were lost. Some people complained, but a lot just recreated their topics and it kept going this way. But for the translation topic... All the work we were doing had then seemed to be lost and there ended the first translation team.
And then... coming from the nothingness, with a power that overwhelmed all of us, was a man. He was of pure gold and... errr I think it's a little too much, isn't it? In fact there was a member that was trying to manage all the translations in the topic. He had the motivation and he had a server in which he had kept a lot of the translations we were doing. So he bring back the topic to life, kept a list of the translated strips to date (as I'm doing now) and we began to be a little more organized. This era lasted not a long time. The man had gone missing. He had to study and we kept going nevertheless. And then a pure morning, on a Sunday, the 13th of March 2011, the section appeared. Maliki had found in us the will and wanted at the same time to help us and to make us work better for her (as she is our goddess but also our tyrant). From then we has been organized, I has taken the management of the team cause the man was still missing.
Now, we have sometimes his visits. He comes and help us, but he don't have the time to do more. But all of those who remembered about his acts are thankful cause he is the one that allowed all of that!

The forum crashed and I think Maliki hadn't saved the Creative Lab section because it was not really important but the translation topic at that time just went missing Yeah he did well. I'll send him a PM to tell him to look at this topic, I think he'll be pelase Maliki IS a tyrant. She sayd so a lot of time.
